The Old Strathcona Foundation is a registered non-profit volunteer organization founded in 1974 and dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the Old Strathcona area and its heritage through historical, social and cultural activities.

The Foundation publishes a newsletter and the Plaindealer magazine as well as hosts a series of special events throughout the year, including the Silly Summer Parade, an Art Walk, and scheduled walking tours.
