The Provincial Museum of Alberta is one of Canada's most popular heritage attractions.
Situated in a beautiful park just west of downtown, the museum takes visitors on a journey through time and space to explore the human and natural history of western Canada. World-class feature exhibits from around the world mean that there is always something new to see.
Regularly attracting over 300,000 visitors each year, the museum has broken new ground for Canadian museums by presenting nontraditional and intriguing experiences for its audiences.
Spectacular blockbuster exhibits feature everything from dinosaurs and bugs to archaeological treasures and forgotten jewellery. These exhibits are constantly
changing, while others like the live Bug Room and the Habitat Gallery are permanent, open to the public year round.
The new Natural History Gallery is home to exquisite minerals and gems, astonishing dinosaurs, sabre-toothed cats and Canada's only complete Columbian Mammoth skeleton - the largest land mammal to have lived in North America.
