Edmonton Art Gallery

The Edmonton Art Gallery is a place where people find meaning, inspiration and delight through the eyes of the artist. The exhibition schedule is varied, showing the works of important local, national, and international artists. New exhibitions five times a year include installations, video and World Wide Web site projects, interactive sound and movement works, and innovative uses of more traditional media such as painting and sculpture.

The entire main floor of the gallery is devoted to six new exhibits, drawn from the gallery’s collection of mainly Canadian historic and contemporary works. The Children’s Gallery changes theme every six months, offering something of interest to kids aged 2 to 12. Always interactive, it’s a great place to begin a family visit. On Sundays there are artmaking workshops for all ages.
The gallery shop sells unique gift items, exceptional children’s books and toys, art books and calendars. Admission is charged, but free on Mondays to groups of 10 or more, and free to everyone on Thursday after 4. Guided tours can be booked in advance for $1.00 plus admission. Watch for redevelopment, planned to include a renovated facility and services.

Year-round: Mon-Wed 10:30-5, Thurs-Fri 10:30-8, weekends and holidays 11-5. Wheelchair accessible. 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton. .
