Incense and flickering candlelight recreate the atmosphere of Father Lacombe Chapel, Albertas oldest building. Built by Oblate missionary Father Albert Lacombe in 1861, this simple log structure was the start of a thriving Metis settlement which became the city of St. Albert. Tours of the chapel and historic Mission Hill are given in English and French. Watch for special events and demonstrations.
