The Dr. George/Kemp House Museum is located at 5731 - 51 Avenue in Innisfail. The house is open Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30 year round. The governing authority is the Dr. George House Preservation Society. There is no admission fee, though donations are gratefully accepted.
The collection at the museum features Dr. Henry Georges house dating from 1893, a gift shop, and natural history artifacts. The written history and George family memorabilia with Kemp family documentation is also available. One of the rooms in the museum has been set up as a bedroom from the 1920's, and another represents a doctors treatment room of the time.
The facility is available for bookings for private functions. A list of approved caters will be provided upon request.
The museum does not currently offer specific education programs; however, tours are always available for students. The tours focus on natural history and heritage, and a written self-guided tour outline and brochures are available. There is no cost for a tour.
