Beauvais Lake Provincial Park

If you’re a nature nut, you’ll never want for something to do at Beauvais Lake Provincial Park, in the picturesque southwest corner of Alberta. It is nestled in rolling foothills where breathtaking views of the southern Rockies mingle with the pastoral calm of green ranch lands.

In this park, you can swim, windsurf, cast your line for trout, or explore the shoreline by canoe. This wetland habitat supports a large wildlife community. If hiking is more your style, there are plenty of trails for short walks or backpacking. The winding trail along Mill Creek will lead you through unspoiled back country to a small campground in Mill Creek Canyon, about 3 km from the park office. You’ll find many birds and wildflowers here. Glacier lilies, seldom seen in the foothills, are common
in the canyon. Moose, deer and elk are often
seen on the trails.

Open year round. Office hours: Mon-Fri 8:15-4:30. Park staff are also available evenings and weekends, especially during the summer. 11 km (7 miles) W and 8 km (5 miles) S of Pincher Creek; 236 km (147 miles) S of Calgary. .
