Historic Atlas Coal Mine

The most extensive coal mine interpretive site in the province, with a visitor centre, a simulated mine tunnel, 15 historic buildings and mining equipment from the 1920s to the 1970s. Programs include tours of the site and tipple, self-guiding trail signs, audiotape tours, video, demonstrations, vignettes and the Wash House Theatre. Brochures available in French and German.

Open Friday before Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving Day (US Columbus Day): daily 10-6. Winter by appointment. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. East Coulee, Alberta. .
