Travelers on Highway 2 will recall the big Lancaster Bomber at Nanton. Planes like this one were instrumental in winning the Second World War. Now it is housed in a 16,000 sq. ft. (1,486 sq. m) museum, honouring those associated with RAF/RCAF Bomber Command and the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan in Alberta. In addition to aircraft, the museum displays flight simulators, models, aviation art and videos of Lancasters in action.
