St.Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

The twin towers and recessed entry of the front elevation are your first clues that St. Pat’s is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in western Canada. American architect Manley N. Cutter designed the church in a traditional style, but with modern construction techniques. While medieval masons had cut and laid blocks of stone over decades, Cutter specified reinforced concrete and so had the church finished in two years, 1. The rose windows in the east and west transepts were imported from France in 1955. The church was designated a National Historic Site in 1990.
